La Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales del Metal, CONFEMETAL, es la organización empresarial cúpula del Sector del Metal en España. En CONFEMETAL se agrupan 76 asociaciones que representan un número cercano a las 220.000 empresas, que emplean a más de un millón y medio de trabajadores y 320.000 autónomos, es decir, la Industria, el Comercio y los Servicios del Sector del Metal, tanto a nivel territorial, con 40 asociaciones provinciales, como a nivel sectorial, con 36 asociaciones nacionales representativas de las diversas ramas de actividad.

Entre los principales sectores representados por CONFEMETAL se cuentan:

Metalurgia y Fundición; Ingeniería, Montajes, Mantenimiento y Servicios Industriales, Fabricación y Distribución de  Equipos y Componentes Eléctricos, Electrónicos  y de Telecomunicaciones; Bienes de equipo; Máquina Herramienta; Equipos de Frío y Climatización; Montajes y Mantenimientos industriales; Envases, cierres metálicos y sector auxiliar; Mantenimiento e Instalación de Fontanería, Gas y Climatización; Instalaciones Térmicas de Edificios; Iluminación; Equipos de descanso; Distribución y Mantenimiento de Electrodomésticos; Fabricación y Mantenimiento de Ascensores; Fabricantes y Distribución de Repuestos del Automóvil; Reparación del Automóvil; Fabricación y Distribución de Material Eléctrico; Recuperación y Reciclado de Residuos… 

Un muy amplio sector con presencia en todos los segmentos de actividad y en todos los territorios, que está mayoritariamente formado por pymes y agrupa a los diferentes operadores que intervienen en toda la cadena de valor industrial y, en su mayoría, en sectores esenciales de la economía. 

La estructura territorial de Confemetal cubre la práctica totalidad de las provincias españolas y representa aproximadamente el 95 por ciento de la actividad y el empleo sectoriales.

Confemetal, con una trayectoria de más de cuatro décadas de actividad al servicio de las empresas del Sector del Metal, es la organización de referencia del sector industrial español y su principal portavoz y representante en la Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales, CEOE y en la Confederación Española de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa, CEPYME.

Asimismo, Confemetal actúa en representación de los intereses de las empresas del Sector del Metal ante las administraciones públicas y ante los sindicatos.

A nivel internacional, Confemetal forma parte de la organización representativa del sector de ámbito europeo CEEMET -Council of European Employers of the Metal, Engineering and Technology-Based Industries.

The Spanish Confederation of Metal Employers' Organizations, CONFEMETAL, is the umbrella business organization of the Metal Sector in Spain. A very broad sector with presence in all segments of activity and in all territories, which is mostly made up of SMEs and groups together the different operators involved in the entire industrial value chain and, for the most part, in essential sectors of the economy.

Confemetal's territorial structure covers practically all Spanish provinces and represents approximately 95 percent of the sector's activity and employment.

Confemetal, with a track record of more than four decades of activity at the service of companies in the Metal Sector, is the reference organization of the Spanish industrial sector and its main spokesperson and representative in the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations, CEOE, and in the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises, CEPYME.

Confemetal also represents the interests of companies in the Metal Sector before public administrations and trade unions.

At international level, Confemetal is a member of the European representative organization of the sector CEEMET -Council of European Employers of the Metal, Engineering and Technology-Based Industries.
