ORGALIME: UK in the EU – Together we are stronger

ORGALIME. (03/05/2016). “For us there is no doubt that UK manufacturing and wider business is best served by being in the EU and by continuing to be influential in defining the future direction of the framework conditions for manufacturing companies in the EU” states Adrian Harris, Director General of one of the biggest European trade associations.

Orgalime, 3 of whose 42 members are UK associations, namely BEAMA, EAMA and GAMBICA is closely following the debate surrounding the forthcoming ‘remain or leave’ referendum. For  the engineering industry, the EU’s largest manufacturing and trading sector[1] with a strong  UK based industry, the  outcome of this referendum is of course important for our members, whether they are UK based or from other EU countries.
